“It’s like swimming in bottled Water”

The picture to the left is a picture of the swimming pool in my new home in Jakarta.

Just recently I switched to a system without chemicals for my swimming pool as big as 11 meters by 4 meters. Although they advertised as “Swim without Chemicals”, my pool is an outdoor pool. So the pH balance will still be unbalance and that would still involve a chlorine to be added. But it would reduce the chlorine drastically, by 70 to 80 percent.

The pool hits hard with rain since I live in the Southern Part of Jakarta, where its cooler, and closer to the mountains. Due to rain, the pH balance of the pool water becomes unbalanced. But with the new system, it would reduce the need to circulate the pool by 2 hours. I can let my pool pump run for 6 hours instead of 8 hours. Saving electricity, healthier for the body, and feels refresh after every swim. At least it feels refreshing to me. My son thinks the water is like “Tap Water” from the U.S or Aqua water is what people call it in Jakarta. Pretty much taste refreshing and still is not recommended to drink of course.

Ionizer works with a safe low voltage DC current applied to the copper electrodes. As the ions attempt to move from one electrode to the other, many of them become suspended in the water. The minerals used for pool water purification are recognized as essential minerals to the body. Normal concentration in pools and hot tubs is about 1/3 the amount allowed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for drinking water. So the need for high levels of chemicals is eliminated. Also eliminated are the strong chemical odors, damaging effects on hair, skin, fabrics, liners and spa equipment.

This is definitely a big change, especially the after swimming part. Usually I feel sticky due to the much chemicals that go in to the water and my hair feels all tangled and heavy. But after the new system is installed, my hair feels much lighter, not as tangled and not as sticky. I would have to say it feels healthier now to swim in this ionized water.

The picture to the left is similar ionized equipment that is installed for my pool.
