If the world can be wired free, I’ll be in that world. But today, Cloud Base Solution is emerging, I still think it’s at an infant stage and could be done better, but we’ll get there, eventually. My daily task to make sure everything is sync, between my BlackBerry and iPad, I have to use a 3rd party software.

The software I use is Google Sync. I installed Google Sync on my BlackBerry, and then setup an Exchange Email on the iPad. On your BlackBerry, sign in with the Google Email you want to sync with (If you have Multiple Gmail Accounts), tick the box “Sync Contact” and “Sync Calendar” and Click on the Sync Button. Wait till it finish syncing before going to your iPad.

Then on your iPad, setup Gmail on Exchange. That’s it, now go to your Address Book on your iPad and check to see if all your contact synced is complete. Same for your Calendar. Now if you accept Meeting Invites from your BlackBerry, it will automatically Sync to your iPad.

The above syncing method works for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Tested on both iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS. This is a good way to backup your contacts and calendar to Google just incase your iPad/iPhone/BlackBerry or all at the same time get stolen.

This is one of the steps I took just for my contacts, everything else are also done over the clouds, such as OmniFocus software for the iPad sync to my MacBook for Task Managing Purposes. Dropbox for File Managing over the clouds. It’s more convenient that way, files can be sync between my PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad and soon BlackBerry.
