You would only do this if you really really want to jailbreak your iOS Device on iOS 5.0.1 for iPhone 4S and/or iPad 2. If you have multiple iOS Devices and they are all under the same account as your iTunes account, you can separate FaceTime or iMessage account to differentiate your iOS Device from your primary. If you use the same account for FaceTime or iMessage, the problem is that if your friends were to call or message you, all your other iOS Devices will also either ring or receive the message and can be intercepted by anyone at home or at work.
