Samsung Galaxy Tab, launching on the 31st of October in Asia, a 7 Inch Tablet. A highly expecting device from Samsung has finally released their press conference on the 19th announcing the day when the Tablet will be launch.

The press conference was held in Jakarta, Indonesia at Ritz Carlton Hotel. The announcement wasn’t just about the launch date, but it’s about what Samsung has in store for us on the day of the launch. Samsung has done a good job in bundling the package with a lot of the Media Company in Indonesia and one of them is Kompas Newspaper, the biggest in Indonesia. Along with it’s own payment gateway integrated for payment system, and their server is local so users in Indonesia can download the content in a huff.

Samsung Galaxy Tab is not an ordinary boring tablet, this one sport the Android 2.2 (Froyo), an open source OS. You can make calls with it, and the Sim Card is the regular size. You can also add up to 32Gb of MicroSD card added to it’s built-in 16Gb Storage. Samsung Galaxy Tab also doubles the ram than the iPad with 512mb. The advantage of the 7 Inch is portability, it’s not too big, it’s not too thick, and it fits in your back pocket while you walk, not recommended sitting with it in your back pocket.

Samsung also did a good job on the eReader software, supporting ePub and PDF. This opens the door to publishers who wants to have their content in Samsung Galaxy Tab. One of them is of course, Kompas Gramedia ePub vast library of books that will be available on the day of the launch in Indonesia on October 31st.

The Galaxy Tab has built-in Flash Player on their browser. Allowing pop up advertisement to show, which enticed Sales Person to sell Ads on the Tab. An opportunity that should not be missed since it’s one of the advantage for the Tab with it’s Flash Player, a good selling point for any Account Executive (Sales Man and Woman).

The Samsung Galaxy Tab also sport the Camera, 3Mp Primary, 1.3Mp Secondary. The Secondary is for video conference, which means you can install Fring at the Android Market and start video chatting over 3G or Wi-Fi (Check with your Internet Data Provider before doing Video Calls over 3G, you may incur extra charges).
