Like I mentioned before on this post (Apple’s Competition to the iPad is Amazon Kindle), although it may not be named Kindle, but instead Amazon version of Android Tablet. It’s getting closer to the launch of Amazon version of their Tablet in 7 inch format with Android, rumored October 2011. Amazon launched their Amazon Appstore for Android is more of a clue of Amazon preparing their own version of Tablet and more imminent now which makes more sense to go head to head against Apple since the inception of the Appstore. Only Amazon is ready enough to compete against Apple since Amazon has movies to rent and/or buy, they have music to sell, they have books that can be lend and/or purchase, and no better way to do it in Android since it’s popular to consumer and they have the experience with hardware with their Kindle.Even the Guardian has a post about “Why Amazon’s tablet will challenge Apple in a way that Google cannot” and I couldn’t agree more.
I personally would buy Amazon Tablet, especially if they decided to put their International 3G in it like they did for Kindle 2 and Kindle 3. I love my Kindles, and I wouldn’t travel without them. Imagine traveling with your Amazon Tablet and still be able to surf the internet, make VOIP Calls, check email and so on, though it’s a wishful thinking and hoping they would put one in, even if it’s not in their initial batch of production. I’ll wait for it.
