Update: Fring Video Call works on the Nokia E66 since it has Front Facing Camera. But it does not work with Skype Video Call. Only Fring to Fring and this is tested from Nokia E66 calling from Nokia N97. I’m guessing Fring to Fring works on any Nokia that have the Front Facing Camera.
It doesn’t work with any other handset, I tried on the Nokia E66. But it should work on an N93 since it’s Symbian 9.0. But N93 doesn’t have a front facing camera, rather it’s on the side. I would try it, but the battery is dead at the moment, since it’s 3 years old. I need to dig up the N82.
This is great if you are out and about and decide to show off. While AT&T only supports One Way Video Call for a monthly fee, this one is free, that is if you have the Data Plan included. Of course, the network has to be fast enough to support the Video Call, such as on 3G, and while T-Mobile 3G is not every where just yet, it still works over WiFi. Still beats Video Chatting on your laptop. Much easier to lug around your phone than a laptop.
I’m always on Fring or Skype, use the button below to contact me if I’m online. It should say I’m online below if I am on.
