Jailbreak Essential Apps for iPhone 4S

The iPad 2 and iPhone 4S can be jailbreak on iOS 5, untethered too. I had my iPad 2 jailbreak on 4.3.3, but iOS 5 was a big step up when it comes to mirroring my iPad 2 to my TV via Apple TV. So I upgraded knowing there was no Jailbreak. After several months, the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S can be jailbreak on Mac and Windows by using Absinthe by Greenpois0n at Greenpois0n.com

I’m going to list the essential app that I thought is useful when it comes to jailbreak, however, the app that I use are enough for me so that I don’t hinder my iPhone 4S performance. Below are the apps that works on iOS 5 with A5 Chip. This post works on iPhone 4S, where as the previous post was just for iOS 5 on the A4 Chip or iPad 1, iPod Touch 4 and iPhone 4.

SBSettings – This is a shortcut to turn on Airplane Mode, WiFi, Brightness, 3G, and what not. This is a must if you want to enable EDGE on your iPhone 4S, which is the same thing as if you were to turn off your 3G, or Disable 3G which Apple took out on iOS 5.0.1.

Barrel – This is just for fun, instead of the boring slide left and right from one page to another, you can use this to liven it up a little when it comes to scrolling from one page to another.

CommandSpot – Spotlight Search becomes a command to launch and open apps or settings from Spotlight. I use thi

iBlacklist – To block an unwanted phone number

iCaughtU – If an unwanted thief or prying eyes is trying to access your phone, this will send you the perpetrator face

Infinidock – You can use this to Dock as many icons as you want. Though essentially 5 icons is good enough, you can however add more than 5 and have it scroll for an infinite icons

iProtect – Password Protect your app with this app. So far, this one app works with iOS 5.

LockInfo – Information on your Lock Screen, such as Phone Favorites, Calendars, Messages, Email, SBSettings, Weather, and Stocks, all on your Lock Screen. I have this setup to bypass my Passcode to make a call so I can make a quick call from my Favorites from the Lock Screen. Convenience is much appreciated with this app.

SpringFlash – Flash Light, and to be use with Activator to activate via the Home Button in two or three press or enable your rear camera flash by touching the clock or which ever you want to set this to work.

SiriToggles – This is not out yet, not as of this writing, but this is a command for Siri to adjust brightness, launch an app (all of the apps including jailbreak apps) and more.

User Agent Faker – To spoof websites that you are not on a Mobile Safari, but instead you are on Chrome, or Firefox and so on. It’s a fake user agent for your web browser.

WinterBoard – To change theme for your boot logo or home screen icons, as well as lock screen slider customize look.

3G Unrestrictor 5 – Only the one with the 5 at the end works with iOS 5. This is worth it for me since I’m mobile, I can still download apps from the App Store that are bigger than 20Mb, or if I want to FaceTime my friends and WiFi isn’t available.

That’s pretty much it. Some of the above apps are not free, and even if you are able to find the hack for the paid version for free and you find it useful, please support the developer by paying the asking price or donate.
