Since Installous is no longer available. Here’s Installous Alternative. One of my friend point it out to an alternative to Installous. Before I used Apptrackr.org as an alternative to download, but with Apptrackr.org website, I have to SSH to my iPad or iPhone in order for me to install the app. It became too tedious. Installous Alternative would be AppCake+ or AppCake+ HD. But first, you need to add the repo under Manage > Sources and click on Edit button on the top right and then the Add button on the top left.
Enter this URL: cydia.iphonecake.com
and Click on Add Source.
Wait until it finish downloading all the packages and click on Return to Cydia
Now do a Search for AppCake+ for iPhone or AppCake+ HD for iPad. Don’t install AppCake+ HD for your iPhone or iPod Touch, the screen size is made for bigger resolution, it’s harder to navigate with AppCake+ HD installed on your iPhone.
That’s it, now all you have to do is launch AppCake from your Home Screen and browse.
You can also use AppCake to Install apps in IPA format from Apptrackr.org or DropBox, it’s just like installing a downloaded app from AppCake. All you have to do is drop the IPA file to AppCake Download Folder Var/Mobile/media/appcake/upload and drop the IPA file in there. If you use iFile to move the file around, be sure to go to Var directory first instead of Root.
You can also use iFile to connect to Dropbox to download the IPA file and install from Dropbox.
Summary: Appcake Download Folder is:
Var/Mobile/media/appcake/upload
The Download Folder is the same for AppCake+ HD
