If you have multiple iOS Devices and they are all under the same account as your iTunes account, you can separate FaceTime or iMessage account to differentiate your iOS Device from your primary. If you use the same account for FaceTime or iMessage, the problem is that if your friends were to call or message you, all your other iOS Devices will also either ring or receive the message and can be intercepted by anyone at home or at work. You can avoid this by registering another iTunes ID. To register a new iTunes ID with your iPad or iPhone or iPod Touch, follow the instruction below.
Here’s how to FaceTime or iMessage on the same iTunes Account for your iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch:
Go to Settings > FaceTime
Log Out of FaceTime first by clicking on the Apple ID and click on Sign Out.
Create a new account for iPad by clicking on “Use your Apple ID for FaceTime” and towards the bottom, click on “Create New Account”
From there, follow the instruction and click on Next until you are Done. Then you are ready to use your FaceTime with your unique ID. Be sure to use a valid email account because Apple will send you an email verification with a link to Apple Website. Click on the link from the email so Apple can verify and enter in your newly created Apple ID to use with FaceTime on Apple Login page.
It should take you a few minutes before it verifies before you can use FaceTime.
For iMessage:
Go to Settings > Messages
Log out first if you have an existing login by clicking on Apple ID button and click on Sign Out
Then Click on “Use your Apple ID for iMessage” button and click on “Create New Account” button.
From there, follow the instruction and click on Next until you are Done. Then you are ready to use your iMessage with your unique ID. Be sure to use a valid email account because Apple will send you an email verification with a link to Apple Website. Click on the link from the email so Apple can verify and enter in your newly created Apple ID to use with iMessage on Apple Login page.
It should take you a few minutes before it verifies before you can use iMessage.
