One of the reason of “why jailbreak at all?” “Customization is the answer.” This is an addition to what I blogged the other day about Why Jailbreak your iPad 2? Below are the lists of Packages that I think is useful on a daily basis, that the iOS is lacking. My White iPhone 4 comes with 4.3.2, but luckily there’s a Jailbreak for it iOS 4.3.2.
The most useful Cydia repos and packages that are listed below are used on a jailbreak iPad 1 with iOS 4.3.2 and on a jailbreak iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3.2. The Cydia is version 1.1.1. Although you can add more Package Sources right on the Home Page of Cydia on your iPhone, those are just the basics, not for power users. To manually add repository to your Cydia, go to Cydia Home Page and click on Manage on the Menu on the bottom. Then click on Sources, click on Edit Button on top right, then the Add button on the top left. Manually enter in the repository link from below including the http://

Cydia Packages List:
Auto3G (It saves battery when your iPhone or iPad automatically Lock itself to sleep. It puts your Data Connection from 3G to EDGE or if you are on Wi-Fi, it will be in EDGE. You can customize it so stay 3G if certain apps is running in the background)
WinterBoard: This is for changing your themes you download from Cydia
LocSpoof: Spoof your location, pretty straight forward. You can select individual application to spoof, or spoof all.
My3G: Forces selectable apps to think it’s on Wi-Fi, so in iTunes or App Store on your iPhone 4, you can download files bigger than 20Mb.
MyWi: This is no longer necessary, but if you have an iOS older than 4.3.1, you can use this to make your iPhone as a Personal HotSpot Wi-Fi.
iFile: To be able to read your Flash Drive on your iPhone 4, but you need the Camera Kit connection.
Groupings: I haven’t tried this, but I heard you can group your apps. Great things about it, I have to try it first to really recommend this app. Try it out though, can’t hurt.
Infinite Docks: This allows you to Dock However much Applications you want on your Dock and you can make it scroll to the right if you have more than 5 on the Dock. Usable if you prefer to scroll your Dock to the right rather than your Home Screen.
Gridlocks: Icon Arrangement can now be set to whatever you want with this app. Leave a gap if you want in between apps if you want.
dTunes: Download Music straight to your iPhone and is also a File Management App.
Icon Renamer: The name says it all.
Animate: This works on 4.2.1, but I haven’t had the time to test on the iPhone 4 with iOS 4.3.2.
InfiniBoard: This will add a feature to your Home Screen so you can scroll vertically, rather than just Horizontally.
InfiniFolders: This will free the limitation of 11 Pages on the Home Screen.
LockScreen Clock Hide: Useful if you want to show your Home Page Picture prominently with almost the whole estate of the screen, you use this to hide your Clock on our Lock Screen.
MultiCleaner: This is a quit all apps, or minimize all apps that are running. I use this with a shake on the device to quit all my open apps so I can free up memory instantly rather than clicking on the Home Button twice, then hold the open app, wait till it wiggles, then click on the minus icon, and repeat till all apps are closed. MultiCleaner saves you the time.
Please add any more recommended sources if there are any. I’m sure there’s lots.
