Are some Cydia Apps not working on Jailbreak iOS 5.1.1? Instead of giving yourself grieve after the matter, why not look at the list below to see if its going to work for your Jailbroken iPad and iPhone. This is tested (depends on which app) on the new iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S all on iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak with Absinthe 2.0.4. This post is about which app that isn’t working from Cydia, not the bugs on iOS 5.1.1 that it created after the jailbreak. Sometimes there is a chance that the Cydia app works, but not to it’s full extent.
SwirlySMS – This will install, but will not work on the new iPad. Works on the iPad 2 though. The problem is that whenever you try to send a text message on your iPad, it will get stuck in the outbox. If you try to send your new iPad a text message, you will not get it.
Phone-It – Works only for iPad 1 WiFi+3G to enable your iPad as a phone device.
Siri – It doesn’t matter if you download Siri (Original) or Siri for iPad, these two will not work for the new iPad. If you have installed both of them and it gives you a Microphone icon on the Spacebar, then it doesn’t work. Even if you install the certificate from siriport.ru. My new iPad had a loop on the restart, so I had to restore fresh. It works for the iPad 2 though, just be careful with the new iPad.
LockInfo – This will install and will work to an extent. However, the Favorites to make a call does not work completely on the Lock Screen. You can try to make the call, but then you would have to unlock after you make the call from your Lock Screen. This is on the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.
