Apple iPadThe Apple iPad is a nice piece of hardware, nice big screen, lots of estate on the screen for your fingers to touch around. It’s 9.7 Inch is really clear, feels solid, but the device is not bendable like the Skiff Reader. Though not as big as the Skiff Reader, it’s definitely thinner.

The iPad is more like a big iPod Touch, everything is basically the same in terms of design, but just bigger. Looking at Google Maps is fast, zooming in and out is faster than on a Desktop PC. Though it doesn’t support Flash hurts in a lot of websites. Flash sites such as Hulu is able to detect the iPad and redirect the clips to HTML5 version.

Don’t expect this to fit in your pocket and go, you have to carry it with you. Get a good case, durable one, just incase you slip and fall, knock on wood.

If you are in the market to get a new netbook or a cheap laptop, you should really think about getting the iPad instead. Though it doesn’t function the same as a PC with Windows, this thing is powerful enough to do a lot of your stuff. Try doing Mark On Call App with this, it’s really nice. It’s a good platform for people who is into Architecture, or for DJ’s. The screen is big, and beautiful. The touch screen is responsive, not like the first gen iPhone.

The battery doesn’t last as long as advertised though. It last 3 hours if the screen brightness is 100%. Dim the screen and you might get 3.5 hours, if you are lucky. I just wish one thing, to be able to use a Tablet Pen with it so if I take notes with it, I don’t have to use my fingers. It just doesn’t feel right taking notes with NoteTaker App. Overall, I would get two, one for me, one for my wife.
