Here is a MobileMe Alternative to Calendar Syncing if you are in need of syncing your Calendar and you are considering MobileMe, well, reconsider. The alternative choice would be Google Apps.

Here is Google Apps Features; to summarize, it’s cheaper than MobileMe at $50 a year, 10Gb of storage at Google Apps, 20Gb for MobileMe. You get more with MobileMe as far as storage, but both has Calendar sync, Contacts sync, Email sync, and Photo sharing. Google Apps can do video sharing with it’s own space, Google Docs gets 1Gb storage as well, MobileMe is combined with their 20Gb Storage rather than separated like Google Apps.

So Google Apps is just more than syncing email, calendars and contacts, it’s a collaboration application for Video and Documents Sharing. So if you are into the cheaper syncing alternative for $50 a year that works with Outlook and BES for your BlackBerry, then the choice is Google Apps.

I personally need the Outlook syncing part, because my Outlook syncs my Contacts to Google Mail. But the Calendar don’t have the option to sync from Outlook to Google without Google Apps Service. But the best part of this service is that I will be getting a 25Gb mail quota and it works with my domain name. You can do trial, and even though it’s for Business, it will work for Personal, less the BES part for your BlackBerry if you even have BlackBerry or the need of BES, so MobileMe Alternative to Calendar Syncing is definitely worth a try.
