There are apps with no in-app purchase, then there are apps with in-app purchase. In-App purchase is an app inside an app, such as if you get the app Talking Tomcat, you can buy an in-app accessories for more noises it can make, or if you play Angry Birds and you needed help with purchasing the in-app Eagle Eye, and so on. However, not all apps can be used with this in-app crack, and your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch needs to be jailbreak. The apps that works with this in-app hack means that the developer decided to bypass Apple iTunes Store API to verify and login to Apple Store in order to purchase the in-app.
What is that means for developers? Fix your app so you don’t loose money. I’m glad my company’s applications for iOS won’t work with this hack, otherwise we will have to re-submit a lot of our applications.
I won’t show you how to do it here, but here’s a hint on this post, the hint is anywhere on this post and you can do it in two ways. By opening a file in iopenroot.com with your jailbroken iDevice and run the file from iopenroot site, or you can add a repo that has the hack in Cydia. iOpenroot file site actually has a lot of hack that can trick your iPad or iPhone.
The in-app crack works on iOS 4.2.1 and 4.3.3 on iPad 1, as well as iOS 4.3.3 on iPad 2, iPod Touch and iPhone 4.
Why won’t I show you how? I am after all for jailbreaking, however, I use jailbreaking not to illegally download games, and why did I post this hack just to tease? Well, let’s just say this hack has been around, even on iOS 3.x, however, Apple got real smart real fast and decided to implement an API to verify your account for in-app purchases for developer to use. This isn’t a tease for you readers, it’s actually here just to remind developers out there to verify, and re-verify your in-app purchase and use Apple API, otherwise, your App such as Adrenaline Asphalt 6 which became free today hoping that people will buy the in-app purchases on accessories and coins, well, guess what? That game is purely free with this hack, no need for real money on the in-app.
