I got a friend who asked me about how her Mother switched iPhone to an newer iPhone. There was a report from Techcrunch about how people were trapped in an iMessage bug after the user switched to an Android. However, this case is different, but the how to below works the same; if you switch from an iPhone to an newer iPhone or switched to an Android, all you have to do is delete your profile from apple website. Below is the how to: Continue reading »

This is for jailbroken iPhone 4S on iOS 5.0 or 5.0.1 with SiriToggles installed. Below are just some of the examples of things you can say to Siri when SiriToggles is installed from Cydia. SiriToggles is an app for Jailbroken iPhone 4S that allows you to launch an app or settings via Siri. SiriToggles also works with Spire installed on an older iPhone or iPod Touch. As long as you have Siri enabled, you can use SiriToggles. Continue reading »

Instead of creating a new Siri Command List from scratch, I have decided to put it here for my own reference from TUAW website.

I wouldn’t remember what to say to Siri at all times, so I think this list is essential.

iOS 5 can be untethered jailbreak, which means you no longer need to shy away from upgrading to iOS 5 for your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch, and iPad 1. Don’t upgrade your iPad 2 though if your iPad is on 4.3.3, otherwise you will loose your Jailbreak. Some of the apps from Cydia isn’t compatible with iOS 5. But below is compatible with iOS 5.0.1 on an iPhone 4 and iPad 1 with iOS 5.0.1. Below are lists that I find useful when I had my iPhone 4. I can’t wait for the jailbreak to be available for the iPhone 4S and iPad 2. Since this is a good time to post what was good for the year 2011 and for iOS 5, I might as well post a list or two below since it’s already 2012. Continue reading »

Another competitor to Viber, WhatsApp, Voxer, Voodoo, Skype, and what not, there’s just way too many of them to list, is ChatOn. The newest one to be available in the App Store; ChatOn by Samsung. This is similar to WhatsApp and Viber since it’s available for Android as well as for iOS Devices. This is a direct competition with iMessage on iOS 5 and WhatsApp and Viber. There is a difference in each though and each has it’s own advantage and frankly, I would prefer to have all of the cool features into one app. But that’s not going to happen, so I’m stuck having all that I need to use in my iOS Devices. What’s unique about ChatOn that can differentiate from the competitor? Continue reading »

I finally got Spire installed on my iPhone 4. I figured, since it only requires a Proxy from an iPhone 4S, which I have, maybe I can just use the authentication from my iPhone 4S so I can install “Siri” on my iPhone 4. Why would I do that though? I mean, I already got an iPhone 4S, I don’t need a wannabe iPhone 4S by using my iPhone 4. Well, it’s just for giggles, and I’m always up for a challenge. So let’s get started, and after the second version of Spire came out, which is under a hundred megabytes, it’s actually 70 something in megabytes now rather than the hundred megabytes in size. So I installed it and let the adventure begin. Continue reading »

If you have the iPhone 4S and then updated your iOS to 5.0.1 and the dreaded bug of “Searching for Service” bug occurred, then look no further. I think I found the solution. Although this isn’t any different than the iPad 2 3G that I have upgraded to iOS 5.0.1, it too gave me the same bug. Sometimes the bug can also be called “No Service” or “Invalid Sim Card”, whatever it is, the solution below might work for you.
