Just yesterday, I got a called after shopping at Longchamp and Kate Spade. The credit card company suggested that I can pay slowly with half a percent interest a year for 6 months time. I pay my credit card in full all the time and I know that it’s the Credit Card’s company to make money by soliciting their customer to pay over time rather than in full. If I take the offer at half a percent interest, the bank makes money off me, and if I decide to buy something else, and my salary isn’t enough because I’m thinking, heck, I’ll just pay it over time. The next thing you know, I can’t pay that half percent in 6 months time and I’ll be owing more and more. Then, all of a sudden, your salary is just to pay off the stuff you bought a year ago and you can’t buy anything new because of you decide to pay your stuff over time a year ago. Continue reading »

The picture to the left is a picture of the swimming pool in my new home in Jakarta.
Just recently I switched to a system without chemicals for my swimming pool as big as 11 meters by 4 meters. Although they advertised as “Swim without Chemicals”, my pool is an outdoor pool.
