My personal reading experience review for Kindle Fire, after a few days of using it personally, it’s a different experience compared to the iPad. However, it is not fair to compare Kindle Fire with an iPad since both are different in size. As for functionality, and practicality, that can be compare to an extent degree.

Just like on the iPad, Play Facebook Games on iPad, this time, it’s for Kindle Fire. The concept is the same, no different than playing Flash Games on the iPad or Kindle Fire. Nothing else does it better than the app that I’m about to write about. It’s been available for the iOS since iOS 4, and now for Kindle Fire in the Amazon App Store for Android. Continue reading »

I have been playing with the Kindle Fire for a few days. There are some perks when you travel with your Kindle. One of them is that it’s Wi-Fi only device, and so it depends on where you are going. If you are traveling through Europe, there are a lot of places that you can connect your Kindle Fire to their Wi-Fi in places such as restaurants and cafes. Even 3rd World Country has free Wi-Fi, if you speak their Universal Language. Just say “Wi-Fi Password” and shrug your shoulder like you don’t know. If you have a hard time understanding the person because of their heavy English accent, just ask them to spell it out on a paper or napkin.

My turn to write a review of the Kindle Fire from Amazon.com. I have read, heard and even tried enough to see if what all the hubba about the Kindle Fire were true. I read that it’s interface is laggy, slow, unresponsive and just plain dumb. I heard that some people is comparing the Kindle Fire to an iPad they own. So I read, and I heard; now it’s my turn to try and find out the truth. Continue reading »

Zinio has announced that the app was made compatible for Kindle Fire. However, as of this writing, I can’t find it in the Amazon App Store for my Kindle Fire. I have a lot of magazines in Zinio that I would love to read on my Kindle Fire. The Kindle Fire feels incomplete without Zinio, so I must have it. So here’s how to install or side load Zinio for Kindle Fire, in just two simple steps.

While I waited for iOS 5 to come out, I played with iOS 5 enough to jot down all the tips and tricks about it, and then I wrote about the tips and tricks for Kindle and Amazon published my very first book. Digitally though, not Paperback. Although it has been published for about a week, and iOS 5 is suppose to come out today, I thought it was a better timing to release a week before iOS 5 come out so those who is eager to learn the tips and tricks of iOS 5 can read the guide I wrote.

The Link to the book on Amazon.com – The iOS 5 Essential Guide, Tips and Tricks for Apple iPad 2 Kindle Edition http://amzn.to/qsFNRt

It is essentially a compiled tips and tricks from this blog, plus the iOS 5 new features that I added for the how to, which some are available on this site, and I will eventually put them all the chapters from the book on this site, once I gather more time.

Check out, review it and enjoy. I did learn something with this book and that is, “patience is a virtue”. It took me longer than I expected to write it, and I thought I would be done well ahead before iOS 5 comes out and would have had more time to do revisions on my book, but checking, and re-checking what I wrote takes a lot of time. I realize that it’s not as easy as blogging, and once published, that’s it, no more edits. I hope that I have improved my writing since the book.

Check it out, review it and happy reading.

There are new Kindle line up on Amazon site. They have re-designed the Kindle, and one of them is with Touch capability. The cheapest Kindle you can buy is $79 and there is no 3G with it, and not a touch screen. The rest of the line up will be out in November 2011, with the Touch in November 21st, and Kindle Fire on the 15th of November. Price starting at $99 for the Touch version of Kindle, and the older line up of Kindle is still available if you prefer one with physical keyboard called Kindle Keyboard.

I wouldn’t consider the Kindle Fire a direct competition to the iPad since the Kindle Fire is 7 inch and Wi-Fi only, at least for now, but as competitor indirectly, especially at the price entry point, it’s definitely a consideration as an alternative as a tablet in general.

Ding Ding Ding, Kindle App for iPad Vs. Kindle, Round One. This is not by any means a comparison between an app and the Kindle hardware. It’s simple an apple vs. an apple (no pun intended). The app inside the iPad is still Kindle, the same Kindle app that you can find at read.amazon.com. The Kindle hardware however is totally different experience. Especially if you are looking for a subscription Magazines or Newspaper. For now, I’m going to compare the two Kindle capability on the iPad vs the Kindle when it comes to Subscribing to Magazines or Newspaper. Continue reading »
