The same company which made the case I have reviewed recently, except Yogi 2 is not a case, more like a stand, a tripod but with just two pod, call it dual-pod, and it does the job nicely. The places you can use this is for the head rest, perfect for car mount head rest, or anywhere where there’s a bar to wrap the legs around in, hang it on top of your monitor, replacing your iPad as your main monitor while you use your wireless bluetooth keyboard with it. Every once in a while, you might get an itch to play that Facebook Games on your iPad, or watch a Flash movie from sites that is not in HTML5. We all do, and there are alternatives out there such as remote in to your Desktop Computer to open Flash sites. I had written a post on how to install Flash Browser for your iPad previously, and this one is no different since there aren’t so many of them out there. I got GorillaMobile Ori for iPad 2 from Joby for my personal use, and it has it’s function. It is easy to carry, because it’s light, thin enough, and yet it’s versatile in every way you want to position your iPad 2. The one I got is for iPad 2, and since then, I’ve been using it on the bed, in the kitchen during breakfast reading my news, and I use it as a stand for my Night Clock during bed time. There is a custom design in Gelaskins website at gelaskins.com. If you are bored of your Smart Cover and rather than buying a new one, this is probably a better choice. I did it differently though, instead of ordering what is available pre-made and pre-designed by Gelaskins, I had mine uploaded with the image of a newspaper company that I liked. If you upload a custom image for your Smart Cover, then you will be unique and no one else will have it. I’ll show you how to make a customize size for your Smart Cover.

My iPad 2 3G is my primary work horse device, even in the office. Not for games, but to jot down ideas, take notes, test some stuff made for iOS 5, download, stream videos, stream music, update my apps in the App Store, blog, surf the internet, reply to some emails, check my emails, etc. Basically, the boring stuff, but on the occasion of playing some games, currently playing Reckless Getaway. When I do all these things on my iPad 2, my battery can be significantly reduced, and having 3G version doesn’t help, especially when it’s turned on. My iPad 2 WiFi version last a bit longer than my 3G. So I had to play around with the settings in General to conserve battery and this is what I found works for my iPad 2 3G. Continue reading »

The Kindle App for the iPad has been updated, removing the button that usually takes you to the Kindle Store. Bummer, well, not really. You just have to do it differently, and you can still have your Books delivered to your iPad the same way as before. But it’s just one more step that you have to go through with your iPad. The iPad 2 Smart Cover is the same material as the first Gen Case by Apple. It’s hard to clean, or I should say, stubborn. If you want to know more about how Polyurethane is made of what material, here’s a good information site from Wikipedia, but the information from Wikipedia might be too technical though.
