Tired of your dead spot at home? I know I am, at least up to my kitchen and dining room, I only get one bar of Wi-Fi using my iPad or iPhone. The speed also becomes slower while I’m at the kitchen or dining room. Anything I load off my Network Drive is noticeably slower, and sometimes it would get disconnected. Other than extending my Wi-Fi range with Airport Express, they have small amount of power to extend the range, extending the range up to 1.5 Miles is much better than Airport Express. Since Airport Express has less than 1dbi and only 1W of power, depending on how big your house is, it wasn’t enough for me, and I have two Airport Express extended from my Airport Extreme. The MacBook Air I’m reviewing is the 13 inch Mid 2011 with Thunderbolt, i5 1.7Ghz, 4Gb Ram, 256Gb SSD Drive and Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB.
There is no need to buy any other Laptop, because this one just beats it by far. Light, slim, powerful, lighted keyboard, i5 Dual Core at 1.7Ghz, big memory at 4gb, 256Gb SSD Hard Drive, super fast load times when off, even faster when it’s on standby, you can dual boot to Windows 7 with Boot Camp, two USB Slots, SD Card Reader, Bluetooth 4.0, Thunderbolt, Wi-Fi A/B/G/N, Eco System is like on iOS with Mac App Store, and the battery last more than 5 hours!

There is no such thing as Jailbreak for Mac App Store per say like the same method of jailbreak with iPad or iPhone by installing Cydia and Installous. The Mac App Store itself is basically the same as iTunes App Store on the iPad and iPhone but for Mac. There is an installous version however with Mac App Store that you can go to, much like apptrackr.org website, this one is just about the same. Continue reading »

I would like to review this model design against my old MacBook Air Mid 2010, 128Gb SSD, 2Gb Ram and Core 2 Duo 2.1Ghz. Continue reading »

This same technique can be applied if you installed any software for your Mac. Usually, you just need to drag the App from the Application folder to the trash bin. But that does not guarantee to delete your preference file, configuration files, and any other files that was installed by the program. If the preference file or configuration file does not matter to you, especially if you decide to re-install the same app later, it would retain all your settings, then the best way is to just drag the file from the Application folder to the trash. That’s it. If you prefer to delete everything and forget about it, then you should do it differently. Continue reading »

I’m just beginning to play around with OS X Lion, and I found neat things other than the multiple desktops and multi-gesture mouse tricks, you can also quickly drop files to a nearby OS X Lion user with AirDrop. AirDrop works with multiple Mac running OS X Lion.
